General Description - From this page, you may include players for a trade. You can only reach this page by clicking 'Edit Players/Cash' in the Trade Build box on the Trade Proposals page. You may not conduct any trades until after the schedule has been generated and budgets have been set.

Level - Users may select the level at which to view the franchise's players. Levels from the dropdown menu include Majors, Triple-A, Double-A, High-A, Low-A and Rookie ball teams. There is also an option to view 'all' players for a franchise. This will return a list of all players with the franchise sorted alphabetically. You may also sort by any of the categories returned in the search.

Position - This will return any player with that listed primary position as chosen by the franchise's owner. Besides each position on the field, you may also broaden your search with 'All Position' players and 'All Pitchers' as well as position groupings like middle infield (MIF - 2B, SS), corner infield (CIF - 1B, 3B), infield (IF) and outfield (OF).

View - You may select the stats or categories to view with the player search. These include stats from the most recent season (Stat Varieties), Current Ratings, Projected Ratings and Status Info. After choosing a level, position and type to view, please click 'Go' to see this franchise's players.

Proposed Trade Players and Cash - This box reflects the players from this franchise that you would you like to include in the trade. You are limited to trading three players from either franchise in one trade. To remove an added player from the list, please click 'Remove' next to his name. This will open up that spot for another player. You may click on the player to view his profile. Also listed are his primary position, current annual salary and prorated salary. The prorated salary illustrates the amount that the player's new team would have to pay the player if the trade were accepted. From this box, cash can also be added to the trade. To do so, please click in the box next to the dollar sign and enter a value that this team would give up to even out the trade. One can never offer more than $5,000,000 in cash during a trade. Once you are satisfied with this franchise's portion of the trade, please click 'Save Changes.' To clear players and cash and start over, please click 'Cancel Changes.'

Player Selection - To add a player to the list, please click 'Add' next to his name. The player will be removed from this list and placed in the box above.

Eligibility - Arbitration eligible players are not allowed to be traded before arbitration. After the trading deadline, all players on the initiating franchise's 40-man roster involved in the trade must have cleared waivers, be in the process of clearing waivers, or been claimed by the other franchise involved in the trade to be added to the list. Any player, not arbitration eligible, on the receiving franchise's team may be added after the trading deadline, but the trade can not be accepted until all players on the 40-man roster involved in trade have cleared or are pending on waivers. Any prospect must have been with the organization for at least 1 season before he may be traded away. All players who have 10 years of Major League experience and have played the last 5 seasons with one club automatically have a no-trade clause.
